TRADE POLICY REVIEW OF NIGERIA (TPR)

The Nigerian trade policy 2002 is obsolete and NOTN with the mandate to update and review Nigerians trade policy is now in the process of reviewing the Nigerian trade policy 2023-2027. The honorable Minister of Investment, Trade and Industry has given NOTN a deadline to come up with a 21^st century trade policy review of Nigeria. This process also involves directly relevant stakeholders and the academia. NOTN has engaged with the stakeholders twice which one was residential held on 11^th July to 15^th July 2022, the outcome was a draft trade policy. NOTN further had a residential meeting of the editorial team to edit the TPR and to come up with clean copy. It is expected that the TPR will be presents to the H. minister of trade on the first week of October 2022, which then will be presented to the FEC
